Mandawa,Rajasthan

In last 50 years we have traveled many countries but did not get a chance to travel across India because main goal for us and our children was to be with our parents and family members in India. The entire 2-3 weeks in India were spent with family. But now that our parents are deceased and transportation within India has improved significantly, we are traveling more within India.

. We prefer to travel with no more than six friends or family members in private tours and not the tour agencies so that we can spend as much time at one place as we want. There are usual tourist destinations in every state and then there are “off the beaten path” places which are interesting but not for every one. We visited two such places in Rajasthan, between Bikaner and Jaipur. Mandawa, which is a feast for art lovers and Karani Mata Mandir, where thousands of rats roam around freely. Instead of me describing these two places, I have included Wikipedia links. Please click on those links for details. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandawa
