I did this hike in 2023 Hello Everyone 🙏 Good morning from Peru My Hiking trip to Peru…. Yesterday we left from our hotel at 5am for Rainbow mountain hike in Peru. It is very beautiful mountain. The mountain looked like someone had painted it with watercolors - vivid reds, yellows, purples, and greens layered across the rocky face in the most surreal natural display Standing there in the freezing wind with my heart pounding from the altitude of 16500 ft, (5036 m) it felt like I was looking at another planet. We came back around 7 pm and was very tired. We had orientation for hike for next three days. We packed our begs and left this morning from hotel at 4am. Our second day hike started from Soraypampa. Our base camp is here. Elevation here is 3800 m. We hiked total 7 km today altitude was 4200m to Humantay lake. Hike to Humantay Lake in Cusco is pure magic! Climb through the mountains and feel the crisp mountain air, and all the cloud that you want touch and holds. suddenly—bam!—a turquoise lake sparkles beneath towering glaciers. Every step is a challenge at high altitude, but the reward? Unreal views, sacred energy, and a memory you’ll never forget. Our third day hike to the Salkantay Pass in Peru started at 5 am, covering a total of 22 km. To make it more adventurous, we decided to ride horses up the mountain and walk back down. The 7 km climb by horse was a truly unique experience—surrounded by high mountains, snowy peaks, and breathtaking views at 4,650 meters (15,255 feet). The real challenge came on the 15 km descent. The path was rocky, and soon rain turned it into a muddy, slippery trail. Every step tested our balance and stamina, but with determination, we made it safely to the bottom—tired but thrilled with the adventure of a lifetime
