Greece Trip

Many of members in this group had been to Greece. Though Sharing our experience of Our recent Greece trip which has been nothing short of magical. From the sparkling blue of the Aegean sea to whitewashed houses of the islands of Santorini & Mykonos where we went was just picture perfect and we tried matching our clothes to the vibes. As per locals this year Greece had half the no of tourist, may be hype of Greece has gone or most had already seen

Inspite of this nothing was cheap especially the hotels which usually one can get at good price in shoulder season. This time before going, we try to learn Greek language by Dulingo app which helped us a lot and also we read Greek history a bit which made our trip little interesting as we were trying to find it in the stones of the Acropolis and the ruins of Delphi. It was preety interesting that something still exists back from 2-3 millennium BC and to witness myths about oracle of Apollo which we use to read in our history chapters. Greek people we found were in general friendly, warm , honest and hospitable. Most of the population I observed was obese(Having lot of maida bread)bakery is very popular along with german beer. Travel, of course also brings its own real world twists. On 1st October when we were to travel there was a nationwide strike and for a day Greece reminded us that it is not only about ancient temples and sunsets but also about the pulse of European nation where people can go for strikes and rallies. Plans shifted, ferries paused and the city took a different pace—but that too became part of the story Overall we found Greece is a blend of timeless history, breathtaking beauty and at present moment unfolding to welcome more tourists.
