Himalayas Trip

Happy Dhanteras to everyone!! I have returned from the most amazing trip of my life…….. from the mighty Himalayas….. the mountains of divinity’s ultimate expression!!! Began from Dehrudun , which welcomed us with a shower of rains and a bright rainbow to add to it!

Day 1 - Early morning at Jim Corbett in our Riverside Raddison Resort. Did a little bit of birding before leaving for Patal Bhuvaneshwar. Day 2- On the way as we drove Day 3- A first glimpse of the Himalayas. With Nanda Devi , Panchouli Peaks from our hotel Proceeded to Dharchula from Patal Bhuvaneshwarv Dharchula to Nabi was a beautiful ride where River Kali flows between the tall mountains in Nepal and India. Carried our Oxygen cylinders, took Diamox as we drove uphill towards Nabi. We could see the changing patterns in the Geography around. Gradually the snow clad peaks appeared as we drove along the deep valleys Noodles and a yak like animal and beautiful local woman on the way to Nabi Day 5- Drive to Adi Kailash Hearts throbbing with excitement, our Oxygen levels hovering around 85% as we climbed towards 15,000 feet Adi Kailash had bright weather and we got a gorgeous Darshan. There were horses for people to reach Parvati temple and Sarovar. I decided to walk. Found a little boy with 2 sticks on hire and with 2 Army escorts without whom I couldn’t have completed my trek up and down on the slippery blob:https://web.whatsapp.com/b72f8667-0ad3-4202-9b00-d2ab85a52620slopes.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Day 6 was Om Parvat- which has Indian Army’s last camp bordering Nepal and China. We could not enter Lipulekh pass due to bad weather conditions. Om Parvat had best weather conditions though
