Entered Bhutan from Phuentsholing last evening. Went for a morning stroll at 7 AM. Came across few cute, well groomed high school kids dressed up in traditional uniforms. Drove to Thimphu through high mountains and serpentine roads. What a visual treat ! Want to write a lot about travels to tourist sites in India versus Gangtok and Bhutan but may be some day at leisure. Here are some random shots. Our driver Dorji and guide Tshawang made our trip royal. Day 2 in Thimphu….Memorial chorten/shrine with devotees circumambulating and chanting prayers. Buddha Dordenma with sitting statue 169 ft tall, folk heritage museum, Bhutanese folk dance, Mother Child hospital and lastly Tashichho Dzong, a massive fortress. At many places photography was prohibited and hence not captured.
