Northern Norway

Happy Deepawali to all Travel-lovers Yesterday we returned from our 10N trip to Northern Norway. Determined to see the Aurora & the Fjords, we Flew in to Narvik.(close to Lofoten Islands & Sewdish border)

करवाचौथ के चाँद के दर्शन दुपहरी में पहुचने के पहले ही हो गए We then headed to the Lofoten fishing village of Henningsvaer, famous, known for its iconic FC Stadium Driving along the costal route is an absolute delight, body had to be on the driving seat, but the soul keeps no boundaries Took stopovers as we desired, were amazed to see Northern Lights on the road as early as 8pm.. Norway isn’t considered done unless you get on the water.. so we boarded a 2 day cruise from Lofoten Island till Hammerfest (northernmost city) Arctic waters are quite turbulent and the cruiseships are small ( 500-700 passengers) making the journey bumpy This trip was loaded with Challenges… Ultra-short flight layovers, Cancelled Arctic circle trains, Mercurial unstable & dynamic weather leading to Rough sea & cancelled CruiseShip ports; road blocks while driving…etc..etc.. Still, the mesmerising fjord landscapes, the paucity of living souls around, the sweet arctic water, the colourful Aurora dances made it all feeling worth Maybe the Nature rewards those who stay a bit curious, patient & a little wild at heart..
