Returning home after a blissful sojourn in the 2025 Maha Kumbh…
There was fear in our hearts as we planned the trip and as we heard the media reports….. of stampedes etc kids were worried and shouting at my decision to go. Especially after I got lost temporarily in the crowd during my Nov visit to Kyoto.
Sandeep surprisingly gave whole hearted support and a green signal. Our Hyderabad cousins and a nephew who came with us made wonderful arrangements at every step to make the trip successful. Entering into the Holy Ganga was an amazing experience in itself.
We had 4 luxury tents booked but the amenities were basic. ( 9 ladies and 2 men) . We had prepared ourselves mentally and physically. Had carried a lot of masks, sanitizers and dettol wipes.
The traffic jams and huge crowds came as add ons….. though we did not have to walk long kilometres amidst the crowds.
All in all it was an adventure in itself. Coming back with hearts full of positivity and holy Ganga jal..
