Second part of my trip begins: on first April. We left Quito at 9 AM to board the flight for Lima and then change at Lima to Cusco.Lima is capital of Peru. I know that at least dr Goswami , dr Chhajlani and dr salgia from Travel group have gone to Peru. considered one of the cradles of civilization. Its main economic activities include mining, manufacturing, agriculture and fishing, along with other growing sectors such as telecommunications and biotechnology. CUSCO is at 11200 feet hence there can be altitude sickness problems. We started taking Diamox as precaution. Here you can appreciate the mixture of ANDEAN and Spanish culture, their basic culture and language is KECHUAN. But Spain ruled them for centuries and catholic. Religion was also introduced. Now they want to revive their old culture and language. In the local city tour, we went to KORICANCHA temple. Which was the centre of worship option during Inca Empire. Later on Santo Domingo convent was built as a part of evangelisation process. You can see as a architectural marvel where is stones are put on one another without any cementing process, but by interlocking each other Then we went to see the largest cathedral of South America. It was beautiful inside, but photographs are not allowed, hence couple of pictures from outside. Then we went to see the ruins to appreciate greatness of Incas monumental architecture of SACSAYHUAMAN. There are many questions come to the mind. How come they brought such big stones, and why the walls was constructed in the zigzag manner. Next, we went to see a place where they had different kind of species of Lama and other animals and local tribal people where shown weaving, the beautiful tapestry Lamas belong to camel family, and following poster showed how they migrated We purchased avocado and it in our hotel room Cusco was cold, however, we are lucky that you have attitude sickness problem When we were passing in the streets, we noticed that the frame of door was of stones and there were stones up to certain height on the wall, and after that, there was a plaster on asking the guide. For this reason, he told me that they want to preserve the Old Ketchuan culture. There is good variety of silver work in this area, but we found it very costly Next, we went salt mine area called Maras. Here the subsoil workroom is used to fill 3000 pools from the Inka Time and when the sun rises the water is evaporated , the salt is recovered. Then we went to a place called Moray. It resembles natural amphitheatre. It worked as a laboratory and agriculture research Centre. It’s enormous concentric terrace and the barrier, variety of micro climate. They created allowed the growth of various crops. Today early morning we went to train station called Ollantantumba. Coach was Vistadome hence enjoying the scenery and reached Macchu Pichhu after 1.45 hrs. At macch pecchu town we ate lunch and took 20 minute bus at 1.30 PM to reach actual inca ruins. There were evidence of well planned advance settlement by inca people. This is regarded as one of the 7 wonders of world I strongly recommend Aviana travels if you are planning trip to South America. They got my visa formality very well and overall planning of hotel and sightseeing so well that I had no problem so far. ,As their counter part in South America arranged everything thing for us for example today sharp at 8 am their person arrived in hotel at 8 am with vehicle she mad sure that we occupy our seats in train. Then she left. When train arrived at destination another of their guy came to pickup and made sure we had lunch and boarded bus. When bus arrived at macchu pecchu thei man was ready to receive us with their play card. He also acted as guide , Not only they communicate with the next guy our details but also send photos of departure. This completes 2 nd part of my trip. Mostly sacred valley and around in Peru. Tonight I am reaching Quito and tomorrow I will fly for Galápagos Islands for 8 nights. To the best of my knowledge Kusum vyas, Goswamis and Amit Mishra from our travel group have gone to Galapogas,That will complete last part of my vacation and will post my experiences at the end.
