Trip to South America ;
Since this part of the world is not travelled by Indians, we did not find any India in the whole flight from Amsterdam to Quito. Day 1:-since we were very tired, we slept after reaching the hotel, as a proportion because of the elevation took half tablet of Diamox From Bombay

Day 2: -after breakfast, we went to a popular tourist destination called Mindo. It is small town situated in a cloud forest
On our way, we went to a place where there were lots of humming birds (there are 132 different species of harming birds in Equador ) We then went to see orchids. There were so many varieties of orchids, but the flowers were of small size compare to what we saw in Assam. When we reached our lodge, it was situated in the Jungle, and this is how we crossed the river to reach our place Our chef had hard time to make vegetarian dish for us, but ultimately he did a good job by making purchase of lentils, avocado, salad, and French fries After sometime, we went to bed whole night. There was a different kind of silence, except river noise and jungal Air.
Woke up early morning, and after morning, tea went for Jungle, walk with the guide Spotted one bird. Equador is known for birding paradise. Forest of Mindo is called cloud forest because of the cloud coverage

Day 3: Then we headed for Quito on our way we saw museum, and the point where equator line passes We saw this attractive sign on our way. We found out that guinea pig meat is very popular dish in this area. Then we went to a place which was crater after eruption of volcano 3000 years ago, but now human population is living. we came to the old Quito city , which has been awarded as world Heritage city will find that streets are narrow and pay paved their small balcony outside, which are beautifully decorated by flowering plants , overall, the city was quite neat and clean. In the centre of the old city was a huge open Square area in front of old San Francisco Church

Day 4: Next day, we went to see famous CATAPAXY volcano site, which was about two hours drive in the South direction from Quito. Unfortunately, there were clouds and rain. Hence, we could only see a glimpse of glacier on the top and learn more about it in the interpretation centre.

Then, at the restaurant close to the entrance of national Park, we drank Coco tea, which is well very popular in this area and also in peru and supposed to help in high altitude sickness

We saw these two animals called alpaca and good wooden clothes are made from their wool. Since we are left with lot of time, because could not go to Cotopaxy our guide, suggested that we visit a rose export unit. There were huge covered area for rose plantation.
